TRADITIONAL MARRIGE IN AFRICAN COMMUNITIES

Marriage in African cultures, from the East to West,South to North were one of the most significant and sacred rites of passage. Marriage was the most celebrated ceremony in all African cultures. African marriages were a spiritual and social family affair,they had no room for divorce. It involved the combining of two individuals, two families, two communities and most importantly two ancestral groups.
